New Delhi: Trinamool Congress announced its first list of 11 candidates for the upcoming Goa Assembly election, fielding two former chief ministers Luizinho Faleiro and Churchill Alemao from Fatorda and Benaulim in south Goa respectively.
The Fatorda constituency is presently represented by Goa Forward Party (GFP) chief Vijai Sardesai.
Former GFP leaders Kiran Kandolkar and Jagdish Bhobe, who resigned from the party on Tuesday itself, have been nominated from Aldona and St Andre seats respectively.
Alemao's daughter Valanka will be contesting from the Navelim Assembly constituency.
Former BJP leader Sandeep Vazarkar has been fielded from Porvorim, Samil Volvoikar from Cumbharjua, Ganpat Gaonkar from Poriem, Gilbert Mariano Rodrigues from Cortalim, Jose Raju Cabral from Nuvem and Dr Jorson Fernandes from Cuncolim.
The Mamata Banerjee-led party, a new entrant in Goa's political space, is fighting the polls in alliance with Maharashtrawadi Gomantak Party (MGP).

The 40-member Goa Assembly will go to the polls on February 14, while the counting of votes will be taken up on March 10.
TMC leader and Mamata Banerjee's nephew Abhishek Banerjee congratulated the candidates after the first list was released by the party's state in-charge Mahua Moitra.
"As we release the first list of candidates for Goa Elections 2022 , I congratulate all our candidates and pray for their success! With your dedication and good intent, I am confident that we will serve all Goans in the best possible way and take Goa to even greater heights," Abhishek Banerjee tweeted.
