New Delhi: Senior Congress leader and Member of Parliament, Rahul Gandhi will arrive in Panaji today for a day-long visit to the poll-bound coastal state. He was earlier scheduled to visit on February 2, which was postponed to February 4 as he had parliamentary commitments.


A day later, on February 3, he was scheduled to visit Raipur for ‘bhoomi poojan’ of the memorial in the honour of martyrs, read the official statement by Amarnath Panjikar, Chairman of Goa Pradesh Congress Committee Media Department. 









During his day-long visit, the Wayanad MP will interact with the representatives of the Anganwadi staff, tourism sector among others. He will also hold meetings with the party workers and guide Congress candidates. 


At around 10, Rahul Gandhi will hold a door-to-door campaign at Sada, Mormugao. The door-to-door campaign will be followed by a meeting with candidates at The International Centre, Dona Paula at 12:30 pm.

He will then hold a meeting with shack owners, representatives of tourism and representatives of the Confederation of Indian Industry at 2:15 pm at Dona Paula. Afterwards, he will attend “NIRDHAR” virtual rally at Sankhali Municipal Ground, Sankhali, Sanquelim in the evening at 4 pm. 


The election for the 40-member Goa Legislative Assembly will be held in a single phase on February 14. The votes will be counted on March 10.
