A day after defeating former Chief Minsiter of Delhi Arvind Kejriwal from New Delhi Vidhan Sabha seat, BJP's winning candidate, Parvesh Verma, offered prayers at Dada Bhairav Temple in Mundka, Delhi.
Speaking to the media, Parvesh Verma congratulated all those MLAs who got elected. He said that all the dreams of Sahib Singh Verma, his father and former CM of Delhi, will be fulfilled. "All the resolves of PM Modi will be fulfilled. We will beautify Delhi - our national capital", he added.
Parvesh Verma said, as quoted by news agency ANI, "BJP, PM Modi have given me this opportunity to contest from New Delhi assembly seat. I congratulate all the MLAs who have been elected. All the seats of 'Bahri Dilli' (outer Delhi) have now been won by the BJP. The memories of 1993 have now been afresh...I thank all the people that you have made BJP win this many seats that we are going to form the govt. Our govt will work for Delhi Dehaat and all the regions. All the dreams of Dr Sahib Singh Verma will be fulfilled. All the resolves of PM Modi will be fulfilled. We will beautify Delhi - our national capital..."
AAP Convenor Arvind Kejriwal lost by 4,089 votes to Parvesh Verma in the recenly concluded Delhi Assembly Elections. Congress' Sandeep Dikshit finished a distant third with 4,568 votes, which was more than the victory margin for the seat.
