Speaking with media, Raut stated: "People from our Shiv Sena and NCP's Ajit Pawar also left, what happened? These are disloyal and cowardly people who left due to fear of ED. People say things like Congress couldn't have lost the MP election but people like Kamal Nath sabotaged the election. But I don't think he'll leave Congress... Whoever wants can leave, it's not cowards and corrupt people who form a party but party workers... If someone wants to leave any party so that his son can win the election, can leave."

Political circles in New Delhi were abuzz with anticipation following the arrival of Congress veteran Kamal Nath and his son Nakul Nath, a member of Parliament, on Saturday. There were indications that they were considering switching to the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), which was fanned further by Kamal Nath's words and BJP officials' social media activities.

Talking with media, Kamal Nath declined to confirm or reject his decision to join the BJP. “It is not about denying, you people are getting excited. If something like this happens, I will inform you all (media) first,” the former Madhya Pradesh chief minister said.
