New Delhi: Congress party on Tuesday released its list of star campaigners for the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections from Uttar Pradesh and Maharashtra.


A list of 40 campaigners has been released by the party for first and second phase polls in Uttar Pradesh and 40 leaders have been listed as campaigners for Maharashtra.

Apart from party top brass Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi and former PM Manmohan Singh, who were common to both the lists, the party has named Jyotiraditya Scindia, Raj Babbar, Hardik Patel, Ahmed Patel, Kamal Nath, Ghulam Nabi Azad, Sheila Dixit, Captain Amarinder Singh, Sachin Pilot, PL Punia, Meira Kumar and Navjot Singh Sidhu, among others.

In Maharashtra, Ghulam Nabi Azad, Jyotiraditya Scindia, Ashok Chavan, Radhakrishna Vikhe Patil, Sushil Kumar Shinde, Prithvi Raj Chavan, Sanjay Nirupam, Milind Deora. KC Venugopal and Nagma Moraji were listed as start campaigners in the list of 40 leaders for the first and second phases of general elections.

Elections are to be held in four phases in Maharashtra on April 11,  April 18,  April 23 and April 29.

In Uttar Pradesh, the Lok Sabha elections will be held in six phases on April 11, 18, 23, 29 and May 12 and 19.
