Congress leader and its candidate from Uttar Pradesh’s Amethi, Rahul Gandhi, stated on Friday that Narendra Modi would not become the Prime Minister this time and that he could prove a ‘written guarantee’ about it. He made this declaration while addressing a rally in Kannauj, the constituency from which Samajwadi Party supremo Akhilesh Yadav is contesting in the Lok Sabha polls.

The former Congress chief said, “You take it as a written guarantee that Narendra Modi is not going to become the prime minister of India.” The Congress leader also said that an I.N.I.DI.A bloc storm is arriving in Uttar Pradesh.

Referencing PM Modi’s Adani-Ambani jibe, Gandhi said, “You have seen that in 10 years, Narendra Modi ji had not taken the names of Adani and Ambani, but now he is taking the names of people who he thinks can save him.” Gandhi added, “The INDIA bloc has surrounded me, I am losing. Save me, Adani-Ambani ji save me,” mocking Modi, as he continued to allege them of having “friendly-connections”.

Supporting his Uttar Pradesh ally Akhilesh Yadav, Gandhi said, citing a news report, that stopping the vehicle of the former Chief Minister of the state, from reaching the rally venue would not prevent the latter from winning in Kannauj. He also said that the biggest defeat of the BJP is going to take place in Uttar Pradesh.

Supporting his claims, the Congress leader added, “A change is going to happen in India. People have made up their mind”.

Apart from Rahul Gandhi and Akhilesh Yadav, Aam Aadmi Party leader Sanjay Singh also addressed the joint I.N.D.I.A bloc rally on Friday.

Moreover, the Congress is fighting on 17 of the 80 Lok Sabha seats in Uttar Pradesh in the upcoming Lok Sabha Polls.
