Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Tuesday alleged that Congress wants to end SC,ST, and OBC reservations and give them to Muslims. Stressing that PM Modi himself comes from the OBC category, Biswa said that BJP, on the contrary, is working towards strengthening the reservation in the country.

In response to this, Congress lashed out at the saffron party, invoking the Adani-Ambani "tempo loads of money" jibe, saying that the BJP leaders should stop calling themselves "backward" and added that PM Modi and his "tempo wale dost" belong to the creamy layer of the country.

"They belong to the creamy layer...His 'tempo wale dost' and he - both of them belong to the creamy layer...Stop calling yourself backward and stop doing injustice to the backward people in the country," Congress leader Abhay Dubey said, reacting to Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma's recent statement on reservations.

In a surprising turn of events, PM Modi took a jibe at the Congress during a rally in Telangana, accusing it of hoarding black money from country's top industrialists Adani and Ambani.

This was the first term that the PM had invoked Ambani and Ambani to launch attacks at the Congress, which is the one that had been attacking BJP and PM Modi for favouring the industrialists and waiving off their loans worth crores.

Following these remarks by the PM, Rahul Gandhi retorted by daring him to hold a CBI or ED probe to unveil whether the industrialists sent his party money in a tempo. The Wayanad MP had also questioned PM Modi if he had a personal experience of businessmen sending money in tempos, suggesting that his remarks might have stemmed from it.
