Chhattisgarh Exit Poll Results 2023 Live Streaming: The polling for 90-member Chhattisgarh Legislative Assembly concluded in two phases on November 7 and 17. In the first phase, voting was held on 20 seats in 12 districts under Bastar division the most Naxal-infested region in the state. The first phase recorded a voter turnout of 78 per cent.

The remaining 70 constituencies underwent polling in the second phase that saw a footfall of 68.15 per cent voters and included important candidates in the fray — Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel, and Deputy Chief Minister TS Singh Deo along with several other leaders from Congress and Bharatiya Janata Party.

Both the phases of polling in the state were marred with violence. During the first phase gunfight between security forces and Maoists was reported from at least three places injuring two security forces personnel. During the second phase, a soldier of the Indo-Tibetan Border Police was killed in an IED blast while escorting polling officials in Gariaband region.

The contest in Chhattisgarh is directly between Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel-led Congress party which is looking to retain its power in the state and the Bharatiya Janata Party which left no stone unturned in its attempt to unseat the Congress.

According to the ABP News-CVoter Opinion Poll, the Baghel dispensation is facing opposition from 48.5% of the voters, who are 'angry and want to change the government'. However, 44.8% of voters say they are "not angry and do not want to change the government".

The projections for vote share and seats have also given an edge to Baghel. The projected vote share for Congress is 44.8% and the party is likely to win 45 to 51 seats.

BJP closely trailed the Congress with a projected vote share of 42.7% expecting to win 36 to 42 seats, according to the survey.
