Slamming BJP's state election manifesto, Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel on Friday stated that they copied Congress' pledges but ignored concerns such as farmer loan waivers and Old Pension Scheme, and claimed that incentives had been terminated by the Central Government. Speaking with reporters, CM stated: "They copied Congress' guarantees. They didn't talk about (farmers') loan waiver, didn't talk about OPS, and Central government stopped bonus, now will they take it back?"
In reaction to Amit Shah's announcement of probing state corruption and imprisoning the CM, Baghel stated that they should first address Raman Singh, and his son, Abhishek Singh, who are involved in the Panama case. He stated: "They should first (arrest) Raman Singh. (Raman Singh's) Son Abhishek Singh's name is there in the Panama case...If you do selective work, people will not like it."

Earlier today, Union Home Minister Amit Shah stated at a rally in Chhattisgarh that Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel is a 'pre-paid CM' of the Congress and that his talk time has expired. The Union Home Minister claimed that Bhupesh Baghel had turned Chhattisgarh into the Congress' ATM.
“Bhupesh Baghel is looting the people of Chhattisgarh. The person who wants to develop his politics cannot do the welfare of Chhattisgarh. That is why I say that he is a ‘pre-paid CM’ of Congress. Even by mistake, if Bhupesh Baghel becomes the Chief Minister again, then thousands of crores of rupees will be withdrawn by swapping the prepaid cards daily. If all this money goes to Delhi, then how will Chhattisgarh develop?” Shah stated earlier today.
