The Aam Aadmi Party on Friday released its first list of 10 candidates for the upcoming Chhattisgarh Assembly election fielding the state unit chief Komal Hupendi and farmer leader Tejram Vidrohi from Bhanupratappur (ST) and Rajim seats respectively. The list comes after the Arvind Kejriwal-led party appointed Amolak Singh and Amritpal Singh Sukhanand as co-incharges of the poll-bound state. The party also released its list for poll-bound Madhya Pradesh today.

"First list of AAP candidates for Chhattisgarh elections is out. All the best to all candidates. Is baar chalegi Jhadu (this time broom will sweep). #ChhattisgarhMangeKejriwal," the AAP wrote on X, formerly Twitter.

Last month, Delhi Chief Minister and AAP national convener Arvind Kejriwal released 'guarantee cards' and issued nine guarantees for the people of Chhattisgarh. He made announcements related to employment, women, electricity, education, and health in the guarantees.

The AAP chief promised 300 units of free electricity and 24x7 supply to cities and villages across Chhattisgarh if his party is voted to power in the state Assembly polls scheduled to be held this year. "We will provide up to 300 units of free electricity every month in Chhattisgarh," AAP national convenor announced in a public event in Raipur.

The promises also included an Unemployment allowance of ₹3000 per month until finding a job, approximately 10 lakh government job openings for the unemployed, eliminating nepotism and corruption.

All women aged 18 and above receive ₹1000 'Stree Samman Rashi' per month, the party promised. The other "guarantees" included free pilgrimage for senior citizens.

The AAP tried its luck for the first time in the Chhattisgarh assembly polls in 2018, fielding candidates in 85 of 90 seats but could not win any seats.
