Chhattisgarh Assembly elections: 'BJP will won more than 65 seats and form govt for 4th time' says Raman Singh

Chhattisgarh Assembly has total 91 seats, of which currently Bhartiya Janta Party has 49 seats, Indian National Congress has 39 seats, BSP has one seat and one is with an independent candidate.

New Delhi: Days ahead of Chhattisgarh Assembly polls, Chief Minister Raman Singh on Saturday spoke on the forthcoming polls in the state during ABP News’ Shikhar sammelan and declared that Bharatiya Janta Party would win the elections and would form a government for the fourth time. Speaking on the forthcoming polls, CM further said that BJP would win more than 65 seats in the state.

Raman Singh government has been ruling the state since December 2003.

Chhattisgarh Assembly has total 91 seats, of which currently Bhartiya Janta Party has 49 seats, Indian National Congress has 39 seats, BSP has one seat and one is with an independent candidate.

The state is set to go to polls in two phases. Polling for the first phase of 18 seats in South Chhattisgarh will take place on November 12, whereas for the second phase for remaining 72 seats will take place in North Chhattisgarh on November 20^th.

The counting of votes will take place on December 11, along with four other states; as declared by the Election Commission of India.
