New Delhi: Samajwadi Party leader has landed himself in soup after making a controversial statement against Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. Khan, who is a Mahagathbandhan candidate from Rampur Lok Sabha constituency, made the vexed statement while addressing a public rally.


During the rally, Azam Khan has been accused of terming people sitting on democratic positions as ‘culprits’ and for making remarks against Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath; therefore a case has been filed against him by a team constituted by Election Commission, who also filed a written complaint.

Also, a video clip has also been given where he can be heard making lewd remarks against Yogi Adityanath, on the basis of which a case has been filed.

Azam was addressing an election rally in Tanda, Rampur where he got agitated and started making comments about Chief Minister. After this a case has been filed against him.

This is not the first time that Azam Khan has made controversial remarks. The leader has done so several times in the past as well.

The voting for the Lok Sabha elections in Uttar Pradesh is set to begin on April 11. The counting of votes will take place on May 23.
