The Bharatiya Janata Party on Wednesday declared a list of 10 candidates for the upcoming assembly polls in Andhra Pradesh.


The party has named N Eswara Rao from Etcherla, P Vishnu Kumar Raju from Visakhapatnam North, Pangi Rajarao from Araku Valley and M Shiva Krishnam Raju from Anaparthy. 


The BJP also named Bojja Roshanna from Badvel, C Adinarayana Reddy from Jammalamadugu, P.V. Parthasarathi from Adoni and Y. Satya Kumar from Dharmavaram.

Sujana Chowdary, former MoS for Science & Technology and Earth Sciences will contest from Vijayawada West constituency. Chowdary is a former Rajya Sabha member.


Meanwhile, Kamineni Srinivas Rao, who worked as the health minister in the erstwhile TDP government, as an NDA partner will fight the election from Kaikaluru segment.


With the list, the BJP has completed the process of announcing the names of all its candidates for the forthcoming Lok Sabha and Assembly elections in Andhra Pradesh.


As part of a seat sharing deal between NDA partners TDP, Janasena and BJP, the saffron party will contest six Lok Sabha and 10 Assembly seats in the southern state.


The TDP will contest 144 Assembly and 17 Lok Sabha seats and Janasena two Lok Sabha and 21 Assembly seats. Elections for 175 Assembly and 25 Lok Sabha seats in Andhra Pradesh will be held simultaneously on May 13 and the results will be declared on June 4.


Meanwhile, the saffron party also declared Nayab Singh Saini as its candidate from Karnal for Haryana Assembly Polls.


YSRCP chief Jagan to kick off election campaign


Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has started poll campaign for the forthcoming elections with a 21-day bus tour named 'Memanta Siddham'.


The bus tour will be Jagan's first election campaign post the announcement of the legislative assembly and Lok Sabha polls by the Election Commission of India (ECI) on March 16.  


TDP supremo N Chandrababu Naidu is also busy with election campaigning. He has already completed two days of campaigning in Kuppam, his home constituency.  


Meanwhile, Janasena chief Pawan Kalyan has also scheduled his election campaign to take off from Anakapalli on March 30.
