On assembly elections, Chhattisgarh CM & Congress leader Bhupesh Baghel says, "Congress will form government in Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh."
On Assembly elections in Telangana, State Chief Electoral Officer Vikas Raj says, "We will send central forces to polling stations identified as 'critical'. There are elaborate preparations at counting centres. EVMs are transported with security. In strong room, EVMs are guarded with three layers of security. On counting day, there will be CCTVs and every round of counting of votes will be verified. So far, 777 cases registered for violation of the Model Code of Conduct."
On Assembly elections, Rajasthan CM & Congress leader Ashok Gehlot says, "We will get a clear majority. The public is with us."
"There are a total of 2,290 candidates across 119 constituencies going to polls. Ballot papers have been printed, EVMs are ready. Several constituencies had more than 15 candidates, prompting us to deploy more than one ballot unit," says Telangana Chief Electoral Officer Vikas Raj as state goes to polls on November 30.

On Rajasthan elections, BJP leader Rajnath Singh says, "The public does not trust the guarantees given by the Gehlot government and Congress. There is a difference between what Congress says and what it does. BJP has always followed what it had said-be it abrogation of Article 370, construction of Ram temple in Ayodhya or ending Triple Talaq. Justice and humanity are the basis of our politics."
Telangana: BJP national president JP Nadda says, "The money that PM Modi sends here, the corrupt government of KCR hasn't implemented it on the ground. We have to change this government and elect the BJP here. The highest inflation today is in Telangana. KCR is doing appeasement politics here. PM Modi is doing politics of satisfaction..."
Reacting to Former Chief Minister Raman Singh's remark of winning '55 seats in the state', Baghel said that it is just a bogus statement made by him.
Attacking Raman Singh over his remark, Baghel said "When Raman Singh's (former CM & BJP leader) popularity was at its peak, he did not surpass 52 seats. Now, how can they expect to win 55 seats? He is saying all this to boost the morale of his workers. When the results come, everyone will know whether they are crossing 15 seats or not."

Hyderabad: Former Himachal Pradesh CM and BJP leader Jairam Thakur says, "The reality is that all these parties are one, be it Congress, BRS or AIMIM. They are alike. They have decided to give a farewell to the Congress government which has failed on all fronts," says Union Home minister Amit Shah during a press conference in Jaipur.
BJP president JP Nadda on Wednesday accused the Rajasthan Congress government of making false promises to the people for votes, even alleging that it failed to solve the water woes of the people of Dausa. He said that the government broke promises it made to the youths and farmers. He also said that the people of Rajasthan have now decided to replace it with a double-engine government of BJP. Congress is trying to collect votes by misleading people with false guarantees. The Congress government did not do anything for the water problem in Dausa, Nadda said. He also attacked the Congress government over the issues of corruption, oppression of women, atrocities on Dalits and backward classes, paper leaks, and mining mafia.
Rajasthan CM Ashok says, "PM Modi has been making announcements about free ration for five years. We have no problem with it...They have nothing to say (BJP)...If you look at all their (BJP leaders) speeches, you will find it very similar."
"In Telangana polls, Congress and BRS are trying to appease a particular community. It seems that there is only one community in Telangana. However, we need to bring a change in Telangana and we need to take a 'sanklap' that we (BJP) will form a government in the state under the leadership of PM Modi," says Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sharma at a public gathering in Hyderabad, Telangana.
Drawing parallels with how pickpocketer and their teams operate, Rahul Gandhi on Wednesday said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah and industrialist Gautam Adani work in tandem to "loot the public" in the country.
Addressing an election rally in Bharatpur, Rahul Gandhi said, "The pickpocketer never comes alone, there are three people. One comes from the front, one from the back and one sees from the distance. Prime Minister Narendra Modi's job is to divert your attention. He comes on TV from the front and distracts the public by raising topics of Hindu-Muslim, demonetization, and GST. Meanwhile, Adani comes from behind and takes the money."

Jaipur: On Rajasthan Assembly elections, CM Ashok Gehlot says, "People have made up their mood to repeat the government in the state this time. I believe we are moving towards 156 seats. The tradition (of changing the govt in every 5 years) is going to break this time. People in the state are happy with the kind of work we have done...In Rajasthan, it is definite that the govt will be repeated.
Jaipur: Rajasthan CM Ashok Gehlot says, " There are 200 candidates contesting the election, I got requests from around 150 places but I can't go everywhere (for election campaign), so I am appealing to everyone that I'm contesting the election from all these 200 seats...I request them to repeat this govt again...you (people) don't have to see who is contesting from the local level..."

Elections in five states are drawing to a close with ten days remaining and only two more states left to vote: Rajasthan on November 25 and Telangana on November 30. The polls to the 230-member Madhya Pradesh Legislative Assembly were held on Friday, along with the second phase of polling in Chhattisgarh for the remaining 70 seats.
Congress leader Rahul Gandhi said on Tuesday that "PM means Panauti Modi," implying that the Prime Minister brings bad luck. Speaking at a rally in Rajasthan, Gandhi used the word in reference to India's loss in the cricket World Cup final against Australia. PM Modi attended the ICC World Cup final match at the Ahmedabad stadium named after him. The word 'panauti' has been trending on social media. During the rally, Gandhi also claimed that PM Modi diverts people's attention while Adani, the entrepreneur, takes their money.
He claimed Modi "comes on TV and says 'Hindu-Muslim,' and occasionally attends a cricket match. "It's a different matter that the match was lost. Panauti." "PM means Panauti Modi," Gandhi went on to say.
On Tuesday, Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot released the Congress manifesto for the assembly elections. In its manifesto for the Assembly polls in Rajasthan, the grand old party has promised a caste survey, interest-free loans up to Rs 2 lakh to farmers, and 10 lakh job opportunities.
The party also promised recruitment at the panchayat level and a special law to implement MSP according to the recommendations made by the Swaminathan Commission.
The Congress also promised to double the amount given to beneficiaries under the Chiranjeevi Health Insurance Scheme from Rs 25 lakh to Rs 50 lakh annually and provide an interest-free loan of up to Rs 5 lakh to small traders, shopkeepers, and young entrepreneurs. Congress Party President Mallikarjun Kharge released the manifesto. Gehlot, PCC chief Govind Singh Dotasra, chairman of the manifesto committee CP Joshi, former deputy CM Sachin Pilot, and other leaders were also present during the launch at the PCC office in Jaipur.
