Elections will be held in Fatehpur in the fourth phase of the Uttar Pradesh election. BJP's Fatehpur and Banda candidates will be present together on the stage.In the third phase, elections will take place in seats across western Uttar Pradesh, Bundelkhand, and Awadh region. In this phase, the most keenly watched contest will be Karhal, the seat of Samajwadi Party president and former Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav.Akhilesh is in the electoral fray from the Karhal Assembly Constituency of Mainpuri. BJP candidate and Union Minister SP Singh Baghel is contesting against SP chief.The contest has spiced up after BJP alleged that Baghel's convoy was attacked by "SP goons" with stones and sticks near Attikullapur village in Mainpuri district.

Modi Govt Running 'Loot & Escape' Scheme For Bank Fraudsters: Congress

The Congress on Thursday accused the Modi government of running a "loot and escape" and "ease of committing fraud" scheme for bank fraudsters and questioned the "silence" of the prime minister on the ABG Shipyard scam of Rs 22,842 crore.

Party spokesperson Gourav Vallabh asked why the recovery of Rs 13,975 crore from the ABG Shipyard was not done even after the Debt Recovery Tribunal in Ahmedabad had given orders in this regard in 2018.

Election 2022 LIVE: Punjab CM Calls AAP's Bhagwant Mann 'Drunkard And Illiterate'

The political sphere in poll-bound Punjab heated up as Punjab Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi called Aam Aadmi Party's Chief Ministerial candidate Bhagwant Mann a "drunkard and illiterate person". Channi questioned AAP on how can anyone give command of Punjab to such a person.

"Bhagwant Mann is a drunkard and illiterate person. He passed 12th class in three years. How can we give command of Punjab to such a person?," Punjab Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi said while addressing a public gathering in Bathinda on Wednesday. "How can (AAP national convenor) Arvind Kejriwal decide to give Punjab in his hands?" he added.

Election 2022 LIVE: PM Modi To Address Rallies In Punjab's Fazilka, UP's Fatehpur

As polling dates for the Punjab election 2022 are closing in, political heavyweights'  focus is being shifted in order to sway voters for their party. For the same reason, Prime Minister Narendra Modi today will address a public rally in Punjab's Fazilka district to garner support for BJP. 

Later in the day, PM Modi will also address a public meeting in UP's Fatehpur. Polling in the Fatehpur district is to be held in the fourth phase.
