Addressing a rally in poll-bound Himachal Pradesh, Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi said, "You should think about your future. BJP doesn't have money for pension but they can waive off loans of their big businessmen. They have nothing for youth, employees and women. Govt posts are lying vacant for the last 5 years."
In 2017, the BJP won the Himachal Pradesh Assembly Election with 44 seats, overthrowing the the Congress govt in the state. The Congress had managed to win just 21 seats in the 68-seat assembly. This year, the AAP is also campaigning aggressively to make inroads in the state.
The 2017 Gujarat polls saw a tough fight between the BJP and the Congress. The Congress had secured 77 seats while the BJP got 99 out of the 182 seats. However, since the last polls, several crowd-pulling members deserted the party.
Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra on Friday paid obeisance at the Maa Shoolini Temple in Solan district in poll-bound Himachal Pradesh. AICC General Secretary Vadra will shortly address the 'Parivartan Pratigya Rally' at Thodo Maidan in Solan and formally launch the Congress' election campaign in the hill state. Assembly polls in the state are likely to be held later this year. Her rally is being held a day after Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed two rallies in Una and Chamba. Modi also inaugurated and laid the foundation stones for various projects, including flagging off India's fourth Vande Bharat Express from Una.

In Gujarat, the ruling BJP appears to be comfortably crossing the majority mark this time. The ABP News-CVoter survey projected the party to secure 135 to 143 seats, out of the total 182. The Congress at a distant second is likely to bag 36 to 44 seats while the Arvind Kejriwal-led AAP is expected to secure between 0 to 2 assembly seats.
Himachal Pradesh Assembly Election 2022
In Himachal Pradesh, the ruling BJP is projected to win the assembly polls and secure seats in a range of 37 to 45 seats, out of the total 68, as per ABP News-CVoter Opinion Poll 2022. Congress may secure 21 to 20 seats as per the opinion poll. Meanwhile, as per the CVoter survey, AAP does not appear to be a major player in the hill state as it is projected to win between 0 to 1 assembly seats.
