Andhra Pradesh Election Result: The Telugu Desam Party (TDP) candidate from Andhra Pradesh's Guntur, Chandra Sekhar Pemmasani, has emerged as the wealthiest candidate to win in the recent Lok Sabha elections. Pemmasani with assets valued at Rs 5,700 crore secured his seat by defeating his closest competitor, YSRCP's Kilari Venkata Rosaiah, by a margin of over 3.4 lakh votes.
In neighboring Telangana, BJP's Konda Vishweshwar Reddy, who contested from the Chevella seat, became the second wealthiest victor. Reddy's assets are worth Rs 4,568 crore, and he won his seat with a margin of over 1.72 lakh votes.
Industrialist Naveen Jindal, contesting from the Kurukshetra seat in Haryana for the BJP, also featured among the wealthiest winners. Jindal, with declared assets worth Rs 1,241 crore, won his seat by 29,021 votes.
Another affluent victor from Andhra Pradesh is TDP candidate Prabhakar Reddy Vemireddy from Nellore, who declared assets worth Rs 716 crore. Vemireddy secured his seat with a substantial margin of over 2.45 lakh votes.
Union Minister Jyotiraditya M. Scindia, representing the BJP in Madhya Pradesh's Guna constituency, declared assets valued at Rs 424 crore. Scindia achieved a resounding victory, defeating his nearest rival, Congress' Yadvendra Rao Deshraj Singh, by a margin of 5.40 lakh votes.
From Mathura, actor-politician and BJP candidate Hema Malini, with declared assets of Rs 278 crore, retained her seat by a margin of 2.8 lakh votes.
This election saw a significant number of wealthy candidates participating with a total of 2,572 crorepati candidates in the fray for the Lok Sabha polls.
