Jammu Kashmir Exit Polls LIVE: Omar Abdullah Asks J&K Officers To Resist Pressure To 'Disempower' Incoming Govt

National Conference (NC) vice-president Omar Abdullah on Friday claimed that the BJP had asked the chief secretary to change the "transaction of business rules". His remark came after the Home Ministry directed the LG to nominate five MLAs ahead of the government formation in the J&K.

Abdullah also accused the Centre of plotting to "disempower" the incoming J&K government and asked bureaucrats to resist the pressure.

"The BJP has clearly accepted defeat in J&K. Why else would the Chief secretary be assigned the duty to change transaction of business rules of the government to curtail the powers of the Chief minister / elected government and assign the same to the LG?
