A recent snap poll conducted by ABP-CVoter delved into public sentiment regarding the performance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, providing insights into how the electorate perceives his leadership. The survey, which sampled a total of 2,258 respondents from the poll-bound state of Rajasthan, revealed that the majority, at 60.5%, rated the Prime Minister's performance as 'good'. This is significant as the party currently in power in the state is Congress, led by Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot.

In contrast, 10.4% of respondents expressed a more moderate view, rating his performance as 'average'. Additionally, 29.1% of those surveyed assessed the Prime Minister's performance as 'poor,' indicating a notable segment of the electorate dissatisfied with his leadership.

These survey results reflect a specific moment in the broader discourse about political leadership and governance in India.

Rajasthan will hold assembly elections on November 25 to elect all 200 members of the state's legislative Assembly.

Narendra Modi, the longest-serving Prime Minister of India from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), has been in office since 2014, was re-elected with a landslide victory in 2019, and is set to contest Lok Sabha elections in 2024. With approval ratings consistently above 80% according to a recent Pew Research Centre report, Prime Minister Modi is undoubtedly a star campaigner for the ruling party.

Modi's popularity extends beyond India. Many world leaders also hold him in high regard. Other global research surveys, in addition to the Pew Research Centre survey, have found that Prime Minister Modi is very popular in India. According to a Morning Consult survey conducted in 2023, Modi has a 76% approval rating in India, making him the most popular world leader in the survey.

Another YouGov survey from 2023 found that Modi is the most admired world leader in India, with 39% of Indians praising him. This is far higher than the approval ratings of other world leaders in India, including US Vice President Joe Biden (13%), and Chinese President Xi Jinping (6%).

[Disclaimer: This survey was based on CVoter personal interviews conducted among 2,258 adults across India. Sometimes the table figures do not sum to 100 due to the effects of rounding off. The margin of error is +/- 3% at the macro level and +/- 5% at the micro level. We believe this will give the closest possible resemblance to the trends.]
