ABP-CVoter Opinion Poll: The latest opinion poll conducted by ABP News and CVoter in Goa has projected a closely contested battle between the Congress and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
According to the seat share projection, BJP is expected to secure 1 seat, while the I.N.D.I.A bloc, is projected to win 1 seats out of the total 2 Lok Sabha constituencies. The UPA is expected to get 44.9 per cent votes, while the NDA is likely to secure 46.0 per cent votes.
In Goa, voting for its two Lok Sabha seats will be held in a single phase during the third round, scheduled for May 7, covering both the North Goa and South Goa constituencies.
The state has a total of 1,135,811 registered voters, comprising 555,768 male voters and 580,043 female voters.
Goa is represented by two parliamentary constituencies, North Goa and South Goa, both currently held by the BJP.
In the 2014 elections, the BJP retained the North Goa seat, while securing victory over the Congress stronghold of South Goa. BJP's Sripad Naik emerged victorious in North Goa, defeating Congress's Ravi Naik, while BJP's Narendra Sawaikar defeated Congress's Aleixo Lourenco Reginaldo in South Goa.
