Motorola is geared up to hold the global launch event of a new Edge series smartphone on April 16. Motorola recently launched the Edge 50 Pro with the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chip in India. The smartphone maker teased the launch of the upcoming device in Peach Fuzz colour. For the ones wondering why this colour, Peach Fuzz is Pantone’s colour of the year for 2024. If one takes a closer look at the device in the teaser, one will realise that the design matches the recently leaked renders of the Motorola Edge 50 Ultra. However, the brand has not specified the device’s name.
The teaser also reveals the internal components of the phone and confirms that it will feature a metal middle frame which will give a more durable construction than previously.
Motorola Edge 50 Ultra Specifications (Expected)
The upcoming device is expected to feature a 6.7-inch OLED panel which offers a resolution of 1.5k along with a refresh rate of 144Hz. Under the hood, the device will be powered by Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset. It will be running on Android 14 with a layer of the Hello UI on top.
In terms of battery life and charging capabilities, the Edge 50 Ultra is rumoured to house a robust 4,500mAh battery. What's more impressive is its fast charging capabilities, with support for 125W wired charging and 50W wireless charging. This means users can quickly juice up their device both wired and wirelessly, ensuring they stay connected and productive throughout the day.
For photography enthusiasts, it features a triple camera setup and all three of them will be of 50-megapixel each. As for your video calls and selfies, the front camera will also be of 50-megapixel. For security, it will have an in-screen fingerprint scanner. Lastly, the device will have an IP68-rated chassis.
