Amid the heated tussle between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Mayawati in the ongoing general elections, Bahujan Samaj Party leader Mayawati launched yet another scathing attack on Prime Minister Modi on Tuesday.

Addressing a press conference, the BJP supremo said that Bharatiya Janata Party's ally the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sang (RSS) has deserted them at a very crucial moment amid the ongoing general elections. In view of unfulfilled election promises & the public agitation, their swayamsevaks are not being seen putting in the work, it has made Shri Modi nervous.

Mayawati added that Prime Minister Modi government's ship is sinking and they are losing this Lok Sabha election.

"A pure PM who can run the country in accordance with welfare spirit of Constitution is needed," Mayawati said in a series of tweets. Mayawati's sharp words against the PM  come a day after her veiled attack on the Prime Minister, accusing him of "dramebaazi (playacting) with his love for Dalits" and also taunting him on his wife. Her comments has invited a strong reaction from Union Minister Arun Jaitley who said "she is unfit for public life".
