Raichur: In the 2014 Lok Sabha polls, B.V.Nayak from Indian National Congress (INC) won the elections by a margin of 1499 votes. The polling / voting in Raichur constituency in the 2019 General elections took place in Phase 3 on 23 April. The major contest is between Bharatiya Janata Party#s Raja Amresh Nayak and Congress Party#s B.v nayak

In the 2014 Lok Sabha polls, Bharatiya Janata Party won 17 out of the 28 parliamentary seat with 43 percent vote share while the Indian National Congress managed to win just 9 seats with a 40.8 percent vote share.

• 1998 Lok Sabha Elections: In 12th Lok Sabha election, Indian National Congress candidate had defeated JD candidate by a margin of 78278 votes INC candidate A.Venkatesh Naik had got 264187 while JD got Raja Rangappa Naik votes.
• 1996 Lok Sabha Elections: In 11th Lok Sabha election, JD candidate defeated Indian National Congress candidate with a difference of 36405 votes. Here, JD leader Raja Rangappa Naik attained 214920 votes and Indian National Congress candidate A Venkatesh Naik bagged 178515 votes
• 1991 Lok Sabha Elections: In 10th Lok Sabha poll, Indian National Congress candidate defated JD candidate in one-sided contest. Here, INC candidate Venkatesh Naik attained 194709 votes and JD's Nazeer Ahmed Siddiqui bagged 72251 votes.
• 1989 Lok Sabha Elections: In Ninth Lok Sabha election, Indian National Congress candidate had defeated JD candidate by a margin of 88922 votes INC candidate R.Ambanna Naik Dore had got 228065 while JD got Nazeer Ahmed Sidsiddiqui votes.

Here, Indian National Congress leader Jagannath Rao Venkata Rao Chandriki attained 95424 votes and LSS candidate Kumar Naik Venkatappa Naik bagged 80099 votes
• 1957 Lok Sabha Elections: In Second Lok Sabha election, Indian National Congress candidate defeated IND candidate with a difference of 18030 votes. Here, Indian National Congress leader G. S. Melkote attained 84089 votes and IND candidate Vishwanath Reddy bagged 66059 votes

लोकसभा चुनाव के तीसरे चरण के तहत उत्तर प्रदेश की 10 सीटों पर मंगलवार शाम छह बजे तक औसतन 60.52 प्रतिशत मत पड़े. सभी जगह मतदान लगभग शांतिपूर्ण हुआ. 2014 के चुनाव में इन सीटों पर औसतन 61.48 प्रतिशत मतदान हुआ था.

संयुक्त मुख्य निर्वाचन अधिकारी रमेश चंद्र राय के मुताबिक, मुरादाबाद में 49.54, रामपुर में 49.12, संभल में 47.36, फिरोजाबाद में 46.58, मैनपुरी में 44.38, एटा में 49.55, बदायूं में 43.20, आंवला 45.48, बरेली में 47.72, पीलीभीत में 48.02 प्रतिशत मतदान हुआ.

उत्तर प्रदेश में तीसरे चरण के लिए 10 लोकसभा निर्वाचन क्षेत्रों में दोपहर 3 बजे तक 47.10 प्रतिशत मतदान हुआ. नए मतदाता पहली बार मतदान के लिए उत्सुक दिखे. धूप होने के बावजूद लोग कतारों में अपनी पारी का इंतजार करते नजर आए.

सभी मतदान केन्द्रों पर कड़ी सुरक्षा व्यवस्था के बीच मतदान हो रहा है. गर्मी के बावजूद मतदाताओं में खासा उत्साह देखा जा रहा है. हालांकि रामपुर और बदायूं में कुछ जगहों पर मतदान के दौरान गड़बड़ी की शिकायतें भी सामने आयी हैं. सपा ने रामपुर में बड़ी संख्या में ईवीएम खराब होने और बदायूं में मंत्री स्वामी प्रसाद मौर्य द्वारा चुनाव में गड़बड़ी कराने की कोशिश की शिकायत चुनाव आयोग से की है. बदायूं से मौजूदा सांसद और सपा प्रत्याशी धर्मेन्द्र यादव ने आरोप लगाया कि उनके संज्ञान में 50 बूथों में ईवीएम में खराबी की बात आयी है. उन्होंने आरोप लगाया कि प्रदेश सरकार के मंत्री स्वामी प्रसाद मौर्य अपनी बेटी भाजपा प्रत्याशी संघमित्रा मौर्य को जिताने के मकसद से गड़बड़ी कराने के लिये बदायूं में ही रुके हुए हैं.
