Bihar Elections 2020: The counting for the votes is underway for the Bihar State Legislative Assembly, and the highly anticipated results are showing surprising trends. In many of the seats, there is a margin of fewer than 1,000 votes between the leading and the first trailing candidates. While, in some seats, the difference is even less than 50 votes. In such a situation, everyone is keenly watching the results of these seats.

  • In the case of Bihariganj Assembly seat, the Congress candidate is leading over the JD(U) candidate by just eight votes.

  • Meanwhile, with just 22 votes BJP's Mithilesh Tiwari was at the Baikunthpur Assembly seat.

  • RJD candidate Ajay Yadav leads in the Atri Assembly seat by just 848 votes.

  • While the JD(U) candidate from Bajpatti Assembly seat is trailing by 380 votes from the RJD candidate.

These seats can be the game-changer for the high-stake election, as a neck and neck fight is underway between the Tejashwi Yadav-led Grand Alliance and Nitish Kumar-led NDA. Though the exit polls had predicted an edge of Tejashwi Yadav, the trends present a completely different figure with the NDA already leading on a good number of seats, above the majority mark.

As per the Election Commission website, four rounds of counting have been done for the 243 seats, and around 1.32 crores votes have been counted.
