• 1998 Lok Sabha Elections: In 12th Lok Sabha election, AC candidate defeated Bharatiya Janta Party candidate with a difference of 27437 votes. Here, AC leader Wangcha Rajkumar attained 68455 votes and Bharatiya Janta Party candidate Sotai Kri bagged 41018 votes
• 1996 Lok Sabha Elections: In 11th Lok Sabha election, interesting battle could be seen between Independent and Indian National Congress here Independent candidate defeated his Indian National Congress counterpart with a difference of 7271 votes.

नवी मुंबईतील शिवसेना आणि राष्ट्रवादी काँग्रेसच्या राडा प्रकरणाने नवी मुंबईतील राजकीय वातावरण चांगलेच तापलं आहे. ऐरोली मधील महापालिकेच्या सभागृहाच्या उद्घाटन प्रसंगी शिवसेना आणि राष्ट्रवादी मद्ये हाणामारी झाली होती. या हाणामारीत राष्ट्रवादीचे आमदार संदीप नाईक यांची गाडी शिवसैनिकांनी फोडली होती. याप्रकरणात शिवसेनेचे दोन नगरसेवक एम. के. मढवी, त्यांचा मुलगा करणं मढवी आणि सहा कार्यकर्त्यांना अटक केली. तर राष्ट्रवादीचे 12 कार्यकर्ते अटक झाले. मात्र आमदार संदीप नाईक आणि जिल्हाध्यक्ष अनंत सुतार यांना मात्र अटक झाली नसून त्यांना अटक करण्यात यावी अशी मागणी शिवसेनेने केली आहे. जर या दोघांना अटक झाली नाही तर शिवसेना रस्त्यावर उतरून आंदोलन करेल, असा इशारा आज शिवसेनेने पत्रकार परिषदेत इशारा दिला आहे.
