Students who scored above 90%



This year 253 students scored over 90% and 48 students got over 95%. Last year 275 students scored above 90%.

The Top five regions with high percentages include: Trivandrum (99.28%), Chennai (98.95%), Bengaluru (98.23%) Pune (98.05%), and Ajmer (96.93%).

Students get anxious as wait for scorecard continues



Result link has not yet been activated at cbseresults.nic.in . Though the HRD Minister announced that the results can be checked at the results portal, results have not yet been released for the students.
Of all the institutions Kendriya Vidyalaya has performed the best with - 99.23 pass percentage.
Students are advised to keep patient and recheck the site in a while, as the result link has not yet been launched at the official website.
Update: Result still not available at the official website, even though the HRD ministry has announced the results along with pass percentage and other details.

Fail term replaced with essential repeat



CBSE has decided to replace the term “FAIL” by the term “Essential Repeat”. Hence, in the result declared no “FAIL” term will be mentioned in the documents issued to the candidates and the result hosted on the website.

A total of 1889878 candidates appeared for CBSE 10th this year. These include 788195 girls, 1101664 boys and 19 transgender. The wait of about 18 lakh students will end today. The Board can announce the result of CBSE 10th anytime today.

CBSE Class 10th Results Today : The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will declare the results of class 10th board examinations today, finally putting an end to the wait of students going on for months.
All students who have appeared for Class 10 or Class 12 examination 2020 can check their results through Interactive Voice Response System (IVRS). Student can call 011-24300699 to check their results through IVRS.

Digitally signed marksheets



CBSE had announced that it will provide digitally-signed copies of the marksheets so that they can be used for submission during the admission process in colleges and universities.



This method has been chosen as due to the Covid-19 situation in the country, distributing physical copies of marksheets through schools, remains inconvenient.

Results to be declared tomorrow



HRD Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishak addressed students, parents and teachers in his tweet and announced that the results will be announced tomorrow.
It is pertinent to note that both CBSE and ICSE had told the Supreme Court in the crucial hearing last month over exams , that they will declare class 10th and class 12th result by July 15.

This year’s 10th and 12th class examinations started simultaneously from 15th February 2020. On the other hand, due to corona virus epidemic, 10th class examinations were postponed on March 19, 2020. At that time, examinations for four subjects of 10th were yet to be held. On the other hand, 10th class examinations in 86 schools of North East Delhi were postponed from February 26, 2020. Now, after the intervention of the Supreme Court, the board is going to cancel the remaining examinations and release the result of 10th on the basis of internal assessment.

Only the scorecard of marksheet of students will be made available to students this time. The board will mark a shift from the customary practice of releasing merit list of toppers' list this year.
CBSE did not release merit list for class 12th board results as well citing exceptional circumstances.



Several state boards too did not release the list of top performers.
