WBJEE Counselling 2021: The counselling process of the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination (WBJEE)2021 has begun. WBJEE 2021 counselling will be held in two phases. The first phase is for WBJEE rank holders for admission to all seats except for the BArch course and reserve seats for JEE main candidates. Whereas the second phase is for both JEE mains and WBJEE candidates for admission to all courses.


The counselling process has been conducted for admission to undergraduate engineering, architecture, and pharmacy courses at 115 government and private institutes in West Bengal.  The last date for counselling is September 11. The results of more than 60,000 students who appeared for the WBJEE 2021 examination were released on August 6.  


Round 1 counselling results to be released on August 19:


On the other hand, registration, payment of fees, choice filling and choice locking for Round 1 of WBJEE Counselling 2021 are to be completed on or before August 16. The result of round 1 seat allotment will be released on August 19.  Candidates selected in the first round will have to pay a seat sanction fee, report to the institute allotted for document verification or withdraw from the counselling process between August 20 and 24.


Round 2 allotment results to be released on August 27:


The Round 2 allotment result will be published on August 27 and those candidates who wish to take admission will have to deposit the seat sanction fee. They will have to report to the allotted institutes for document verification from August 27 to September 2. Candidates can also withdraw from the counselling process during this period.


There will also be a mop-up round for WBJEE counselling 2021:


There will also be a mop-up round for WBJEE counselling 2021 and registration for the mop-up round, payment of fees, choice filling and choice locking will take place between September 6 and 8. The mop-up round allocation results will be published on September 11. 


99.5% of students get rank in WBJEE 2021 exam:


A total of 65,170 students appeared for the WBJEE 2021 examination held on July 17. An estimated 64,850 of them have been ranked, or 99.5 percent, and are eligible for counselling. Panchjanya Dey of Rahara Ramakrishna Mission Boys Home High School secured the first position, Soumyajit Dutta of Bankura District School secured the second position. Saha said Bratin Mandal of Shantipur Nagar High School secured the third position in the examination.
