The State Secretary (Education), Meenakshi Sundaram has also said that the evaluation of answer sheets will be completed until 15 July 2020.

During the lockdown, the state was also used over 350 schools as quarantine centres for COVID 19. According to an official notification in preparation for the upcoming exams, the education department has asked the district magistrates to vacate the school turned quarantine centres.

The report also said that those admitted to these centres will complete their quarantine period by June 15 and those who still have time will be shifted to other facilities.

The exams for classes 10 and 12 were scheduled to take place from March 23 to 25 but on March 21 it was announced officially that the exams will be postponed to prevent the spread of coronavirus in the state. Students giving their exams will also have to follow precautionary measures such as wearing face masks, social distancing, and carrying sanitizers.
