New Delhi: About 20000 candidates who appeared for the Uttar Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test UPTET 2021 have found that their results have been withheld by the Examination Regulatory Authority (ERA), UP. These are the results for those candidates who have cleared their D.El.Ed. exams from the National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS). 


The candidates by the order of the Allahabad Court were allowed to take the test but now their results have been withheld.

The Uttar Pradesh Basic Education Board (UPBEB) declared the results of the Uttar Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (UPTET) 2021 on Friday, April 8, 2022. This time, around 19 lakh candidates appeared for the UPTET exam. Through UPTET, qualified teachers are selected to teach primary (class 1-5) and upper primary (class 6-8) classes in Uttar Pradesh’s government schools.


Over 38 per cent of applicants passed the primary level of the exam. Around 28 per cent of the candidates passed the upper primary level of the exam. The test was held last year also. However, it was cancelled as it was reported that the question paper of the exam had been leaked.


The Secretary Examination Regulatory Authority is now going to appeal against the decision of the Single Bench in the Double Bench. Permission has been sought by the secretary to appeal to the government. A court case is coming in the results of such candidates appearing in the examination. 4 lakh 43 thousand 598 candidates have passed in the primary level of UPTET 2021 exam and 2 lakh 16 thousand 994 candidates have passed in the upper primary level.


According to a TOI report, a revised answer key was released on Thursday, it was decided to give marks to all the candidates for five questions of primary and three questions of upper primary level.
