SSC CHSL 2019: Notification has been released today i.e. Tuesday, 5th March 2019 by the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) on its official website – ssc.nic.in, as per which, the Combined Higher Secondary Level (10+2) Examination, 2018 Tier I examination will be held from 1st July 2019 to 26th July 2019 across the country, while Tier II examination will be organized on 29 th September 2019 for candidates who qualify the Tier I exam.

The CHSL Tier I examination 2019 will be Computer Based Test (CBT) while Tier II examination 2019 will be Descriptive Paper.

In the SSC CHSL 2019 notification, the Staff Selection Commission has not mentioned the exact number of vacancies, however posts like Lower Division Clerk (LDC)/ Junior Secretariat Assistant (JSA), Postal Assistant (PA)/ Sorting Assistant (SA), Data Entry Operator (DEO), and Data Entry Operator, Grade ‘A’ have been listed. SSC will determine the number of vacancies and upload the same on its official website in due course of time.

SSC CHSL 2019 - Important Dates:

Online application process begins – 5th March 2019

Online application process ends – 5th April 2019, 5 pm

Last date to pay application fee – 7th April 2019, 5 pm

Last date to generate offline challan – 7th April 2019, 5 pm

Last date to pay application fee via offline challan – 9th April 2019, during banking hours only

Date of CHSL 2019 Tier-I Examination – 1st to 26th July 2019

Date of CHSL 2019 Tier-II Examination – 29th September 2019

SSC CHSL 2019 - Pay Scale:

1.1 - Lower Division Clerk (LDC)/ Junior Secretariat Assistant (JSA): Pay Band -1 (Rs. 5200- 20200), Grade Pay: Rs. 1900 (pre-revised).

1.2 - Postal Assistant (PA)/ Sorting Assistant (SA): Pay Band -1 (Rs. 5200-20200), Grade Pay: Rs. 2400 (pre-revised).

1.3 - Data Entry Operator (DEO): Pay Band-1 (Rs. 5200-20200), Grade Pay: Rs. 2400 (pre-revised).

1.4 - Data Entry Operator, Grade „A‟: Pay Band-1 (Rs. 5200-20200), Grade Pay: Rs. 2400 (pre-revised).

Eligibility Criteria:

For LDC/ JSA, PA/ SA, DEO (except DEOs in C&AG):

The applicant must be a 12th standard pass or equivalent examination from a recognized Board or University.

For Data Entry Operator (DEO) in the Office of Comptroller and Auditor General of India (C&AG):

The applicant must be 12th Standard pass in Science stream with Mathematics as a subject from a recognized Board or equivalent.

Age-Limit:

The applicant must fall in the age bracket of 18-27 years as on 1 st August 2019. Age relaxation rules apply as stated in the official notification above.
