Bangalore: A school teacher in Mullur village in Kodagu district has come up with a tree-top solution to digitally connect with his students and ensure the continuity of their education during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The school teacher has made a room on a mango tree using waste material including bamboo and grass. This room, built at a height of 20 feet from the ground, has now solved the problem of network connectivity.

CS Satish is a Lower Primary School teacher

CS Satish is a teacher at Government Lower Primary School, Mullur. He takes classes for students from first grade to fifth grade. Children's education was disrupted due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the resulting lockdown. Given the acute shortage of facilities between tribal and first-generation children, he is ensuring that education reaches them.

Satish goes beyond the syllabus and teaches English, Mathematics, and Kannada to the children. His passion for providing education to the children encouraged him to think out of the box and he made this unique treehouse.
