RRB JE Recruitment 2019: As per a latest update on choice of Exam Group posted by the Railway Recruitment Boards, candidates who possess more than one minimum academic qualification required to apply for various posts notified under RRB Junior Engineer Recruitment 2019, can now choose any one Exam Group given that s/he applies for the posts whose minimum academic qualification is in sync with the chosen exam group. The official update further stated that applicant will be eligible for all the applied posts.
“A candidate possessing more than one minimum educational qualification, mapped to different Exam Groups, can choose any one Exam Group, provided he/she opts for the post(s) whose educational qualification is mapped to the chosen exam group. However, these candidates would be eligible for all the opted posts” read the latest update for Exam Group selection under RRB JE Recruitment 2019. Candidates will be selected on the basis of their performance in 1st Stage CBT and 2nd Stage CBT. While the 1st stage Computer Based Test for RRB JE Recruitment 2019 will be common for all applicants, the Exam Group selection is crucial for 2nd Stage CBT. Candidates need to choose their Exam Group carefully while filling the online applications as a total of 100 questions on technical abilities in 2nd Stage CBT carrying total 100 marks will be based on the exam group chosen by the applicant. There are a total of 7 Exam Groups viz:

  4. Electronics and Allied Engineering

  6. Printing Technology
  7. Exam Group for candidates holding B.Sc. in Chemistry and Physics is “CMA”
III. For candidates holding educational qualification in PGDCA/B.Sc. (Computer Science)/BCA/B.Tech. (Information Technology)/B.Tech. (Computer Science)/DOEACC 'B' Level Course of 3 years duration, the Exam Group is “Computer Science and Information Technology” RRB JE Recruitment 2019 – Eligibility Criteria: Junior Engineer: Diploma/Degree in Engineering in relevant discipline as will be issued by the RRBs. Junior Engineer (Information Technology): PGDCA/B.Sc. (Computer Science)/BCA/B.Tech. (Information Technology)/B.Tech. (Computer Science)/DOEACC 'B' Level Course of 3 years duration or equivalent from a recognized university/institute. Depot Material Superintendent (DMS): Diploma/Degree in Engineering from any discipline. Chemical & Metallurgical Assistant (CMA): Bachelors Degree in Science with Physics and Chemistry with minimum 45% marks. The Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs) are scheduled to begin the RRB JE Recruitment 2019 application process today i.e. Wednesday, 02 January 2019 on their respective regional websites.
