The Uttar Pradesh Constable recruitment exam was re-conducted after the February 17 and 18 exams were canceled due to paper leaks. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath ordered this cancellation to ensure a transparent process could be restarted within six months. The original February exam had also seen a turnout of over 48 lakh candidates, including nearly 16 lakh women, across 2,835 centers in all 75 districts of the state.

Candidates who pass the written examination will need to appear for the Physical Endurance Test (PET). For the PET, candidates must bring a valid ID, a passport-sized photograph, and a printed copy of their e-admit card. No candidate will be allowed to participate without the admit card. This recruitment drive aims to fill 60,244 vacancies within the department.
