The delay in the result declaration is linked to the extension of the evaluation process. According to reports, the checking of answer sheets, which was initially expected to conclude on April 1, has now been extended till April 4, 2026. The extension comes after several holidays disrupted by the evaluation schedule.

UP Board Evaluation Extended: What It Means for Students

The board has directed examiners to complete the checking process and submit the award lists to their respective regional offices by April 5, 2026. Only after the evaluation process is fully completed will the board proceed with the result announcement.

This slight delay suggests that students may have to wait a little longer than expected, but it also ensures that the evaluation process is carried out thoroughly and accurately.

Passing Criteria and Compartment Exam Option

To successfully clear the UP-Board exams, students must secure a minimum of 33 per cent marks in each subject. It is essential to pass both theory and practical components separately. In some cases, students who fall short by a small margin in one subject may be granted grace marks.

For those who do not pass, the board will conduct compartment examinations. This gives students another opportunity to clear their subjects without losing their academic year. Details regarding the application process for compartment exams will be released after the results are declared.

Students should remain patient and stay updated through official sources to avoid misinformation.
