Top JEE Main 2025 Performers To Compete In JEE Advanced


The road to the prestigious Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) just got clearer for India's brightest minds. The top 2.5 lakh scorers in the JEE Main 2025 exam have secured a spot to compete in the next big challenge — the JEE Advanced 2025. This crucial exam is the only gateway for aspirants aiming to join the IITs.


JEE Main 2025 Session 1


Session 1 of the JEE Main 2025 (Paper 1) witnessed an overwhelming turnout. Out of 13,11,544 registered candidates, a staggering 95.93% — that's 12,58,136 students — showed up to take the exam.


Breaking it down further:


Female Candidates: 4,24,810 participated, with category-wise representation including 1,59,378 from the General category, 44,762 from EWS, 40,282 from SC, 12,965 from ST, and 1,67,423 from OBC.


Male Candidates: The male turnout was higher, with 8,33,920 candidates. This included 3,06,980 from the General category, 93,937 from EWS, 82,563 from SC, 26,994 from ST, and 3,22,851 from the OBC category.


Third Gender Representation: One candidate identifying as third gender appeared for the exam under the OBC category.


JEE Main Session 1 Toppers


Among the top scorers in this fiercely competitive session were Ayush Singhal, Kushagra Gupta, Daksh, and Harsh Jha, who emerged as some of the brightest minds from the first leg of the national-level exam.


Category-Wise Participation


In terms of overall participation across categories, the OBC group recorded the highest number of candidates — 4,90,275 to be precise. This was closely followed by:


General category: 4,66,358


EWS: 1,38,699


SC: 1,22,845


ST: 39,959
