The Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) has announced the result of the Bihar Secondary Teacher Eligibility Test (STET) today, November 18. The result was declared by BSEB Chairman Anand Kishor during a press conference. Candidates can access their results soon on the official website at secondary.biharboardonline.com. 

A total of 4,23,822 candidates appeared for the Bihar STET 2024 examination, as stated in the press release. This includes 2,63,911 candidates for Paper 1 (Eligibility Test for Class 9-10 teachers) and 1,59,911 candidates for Paper 2 (Eligibility Test for Class 11-12 teachers). The overall pass percentage stands at 70.25%.

For Paper 1, the exam was conducted for 16 subjects through CBT, with 1,94,697 candidates qualifying out of 2,63,911, resulting in a pass percentage of 73.77%. Similarly, Paper 2 covered 29 subjects via CBT, with a pass percentage of 64.44%.

The Bihar STET 2024 examination was conducted in two phases. The first phase took place from March 1 to March 20, 2024, while the second phase was held between September 10 and September 30, 2024.

In 2023, out of 4,28,387 registered candidates, a total of 3,00,726 successfully cleared the exam, achieving a pass percentage of 79.79%. Among those who appeared, 82.90% qualified in Paper 1, while 74.37% passed Paper 2.

The Bihar STET exam, conducted by the Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB), assesses the eligibility of candidates for teaching positions at the Secondary level (Classes 9 and 10) and Higher Secondary level (Classes 11 and 12).
