Prime Minister Narendra Modi recently interacted with students at 'Pariksha Pe Charcha' and recommended them to restrict their screen time on mobile phones. He underlined that excessive use of anything, including mobile devices, is not helpful. In order to build trust and avoid secrecy, PM Modi also suggested children to share their mobile phone passwords with their parents.
“Agar maa ne mobile phone ko hath laga diya toh bacche toofan laga dete hain ki tum kaun hoti ho mobile ko hath lagane wali (If mother touches her kids' phones, today's kids get really upset),” said PM Modi.
He further stated: “Ek dusre ko password dene mein kya bura hojaega (what can go wrong if everyone in family knows each other’s mobile passwords)?”
The 'Pariksha Pe Charcha' event attracted over 2 crore students, parents, and instructors. This indicates the magnitude and scope of the project targeted at resolving student difficulties. After the occasion, Prime Minister Modi personally met the students in attendance.
Every year, Prime Minister Narendra Modi organises the 'Pariksha Pe Charcha' programme, which aims to reduce the stress of students taking board examinations.
This year was the sixth iteration of the programme, which took place on January 29 at Bharat Mandapam in Pragati Maidan, Delhi.
Throughout the programme, the Prime Minister interacted with students, teachers, and parents, sharing insights and assistance to help them perform better in board examinations and addressing questions from the students and instructors.
Speaking with the students, PM Modi stated: "Not only mobile but excess of anything...doesn't do anyone any good. There should be a standard for everything, it has a basis. It is very important to have discretion as to how much of anything should be used. We should not run away from technology but should use it positively."
