The NTA has finally released the JEE Main 2023 Notification online on jeemain.nta.nic.in. Released on December 15, 2022, the official notification briefly announces the JEE Main 2023 Exam Dates, Eligibility Criteria, Exam Pattern, Age Limit, and other details. As per the notification, the JEE Main 2023 Exams will begin from January 24, 2022. 

Moreover, the JEE Main 2023 Exam will consist of two papers: Paper 1 and Paper 2. The Paper-1 will be held for admissions into B.Tech/ B.E. programmes whereas the Paper-2 will be held for B.Arch and B.Planning courses. The JEE Main 2023 Exam will also be held in two sessions as earlier. For more details, candidates are advised to go through the official notification carefully.

As per the official notification, the NTA JEE Main Paper-1 Exam 2023 for session-1 will be conducted on January 24, 25, 27, 28, 29, 30, and 31, 2023. The session-2 of Paper-1 exam will be conducted from April 2, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 2023. The Paper-2A and Paper-2B (B.Arch and B.Planning) Exams will also be held twice in January and April, respectively.

Registrations for JEE Main Session 1 are live on jeemain.nta.nic.in, and the last date to apply is January 12, 2023. The announcement of cities of examinations and availability of JEE Main 2023 Admit Cards will be announced in the second and third week of January, respectively. Based on the number of Papers and Sessions opted for as well as the category of a particular student, the JEE Main 2023 Application could range from Rs.500 to up to Rs.10,000.

JEE Main 2023 Session 2: Important Dates

The Session 2 of the JEE Main 2023 Exam will start from April 6, 2023. Online applications for Session 2 start from February 7, 2023 and online applications will end on March 7, 2023. The announcement of the cities of exams and availability of admit cards would be in the third and last week of March 2023, respectively.

JEE Main 2023 Exam: Exam Duration And Shifts

The JEE Main 2023 Exam will be conducted in two shifts: Shift 1 and Shift 2. Shift 1 will be conducted from 09:00 am to 12:00 pm while Shift 2 will be conducted from 03:00 pm to 06:00 pm. The Exam Duration for candidates who opt for the JEE Main 2023 Paper-1 Exam or individual Paper 2A (B.Arch) or Paper 2B (B.Planning) would be of 03:00 hours. However, the exam duration for those who opt for Paper 2 (B.Arch and B.Planning) would be of 03:30 hours.

JEE Main 2023: How To Apply?

Step 1: Visit the official NTA JEE website - jeemain.nta.nic.in

Step 2: On the homepage, click on “JEE (Main) Session 1 Application”

Step 3: In the new page, click on the link again that reads “JEE (Main) Session 1 Application”

Step 4: In the new window that opens, click on “New Registration”

Step 4: Read the instructions carefully, check the acknowledgement box at the bottom of the page and then click on ‘click here to proceed’

Step 5: Submit the registration form, select your preferred password, fill in the captcha and then click on ‘submit’

Step 6: Login to the portal again using your login credentials: generated Application ID and your Password

Step 7: Fill the application form completely

Step 8: Upload relevant documents, photo, and signature

Step 9: Pay the application fee online and submit the application

Step 10: Download and save the confirmation page for reference
