NEET UG Counselling: MCC Opens Portal For Medical Colleges To Fill NEET UG Seats

NEET UG Counselling: The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) on July 16, 2024, issued a notice inviting medical colleges to enter their seats at the official portal.

NEET UG Counselling: The Medical Counselling Committee, MCC has asked medical colleges to enter their seat information on its official portal for NEET UG 2024 counselling. The counselling process is expected to start soon. While students wait for the NEET UG Supreme Court verdict and a final date for the NEET UG counselling 2024, the Medical Counselling Committee on July 16, 2024, issued a notice inviting medical colleges to enter their seats at the official portal at mcc.nic.in. According to the notice, the committee will be accepting the seat details till July 20, 2024 from the participating institutions for UG counselling 2024. 

“Institutes participating in UG Counselling 2024 are hereby informed that intramcc portal for contribution of UG seats is open now. Hence, Institutes are requested to start entering their seats on the portal at the earliest so that the process of seats contribution can be completed timely,” the official notice reads.

The notice adds that the user ID and passport for accessing the portal by the institution are the same as the previous years. MCC has further provided the facility of ‘Forgot Password’ in case students have forgotten their password or wish to generate a new password.

Regarding the NEET UG counselling process, the central government has said that students will be allowed to change seats as per the preferences chosen in the first and second rounds of the NEET UG counselling. Counselling will be held in a total of four rounds. In such a situation, if seats are canceled before the third round, it will not have any effect on the overall counselling and seat allotment. The third round of NEET UG counselling 2024 will likely start in September. If any seats become available after the fourth and final round, an extra round will be held to fill them.
