New Delhi: The Education Ministry is seeking suggestions from parents and students regarding exams next year. According to the Union Education minister Ramesh Pokhriyal, the ministry will launch a campaign to take the suggestions.

This comes at a time when students are waiting to know dates for various exams next year such as the CBSE class 10 and 12 exams, Joint Entrance Examination (JEE Main) which usually takes place in January, and National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET). Pokhriyal on Thursday also hinted that the competitive exam next year may be based on a revised syllabus. The minister said in a tweet that the 'NTA will come out with the syllabus for competitive exams after assessment of the existing scenario in various boards'.

As the coronavirus pandemic continues there are speculations that JEE 2021 which was to be held in January could be shifted to February. According to a report by Times of India, the exam will now be held in the last week of February but the registration process will begin in December 2020. There is no official notification yet. similarly, school students are waiting for the CBSE Date Sheet for the Class 10, 12 Board Examinations. In October, CBSE had suggested that the class 10th and 12th board exam dates could be postponed by 45-60 days, it is expected that the board will make an official announcement soon. Usually, the datasheet is released in the month of December. The CBSE board is yet to officially announce its decision on whether the exam will be postponed.
