NEET 2021 Exam: 11 Languages, Offline Mode & No Multiple Attempts - Here’s How NTA Plans To Conduct Exam This Year

NEET 2021 Exam: The agency has said the detailed information containing detailed information regarding the exam, syllabus, eligibility criteria for age, reservation, etc., will be released on ntaneet.nic.in when the online application begins.

As a major relief to students aiming to appear for NEET 2021 exam, the National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced the date for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) to be held on August 1. The NEET examination is conducted for admission to undergraduate medical programmes at participating medical colleges, including AIIMS and JIPMER institutes.

What's the mode of examination?

In a notification on the website, the NTA said the NEET 2021 will be conducted in 11 languages, including English, Hindi, Assamese, Gujarati, Bengali, Marathi, Odia, Kannada, Tamil, Telugu and Urdu. Remember to choose the option of medium of question paper while filling in the application form. Unlike the speculation, there is no change in the mode of the examination, it will be conducted offline through pen and paper mode only.

What are the criteria for examination?

There are expectations that the number of questions in the NEET exam pattern may increase. The agency has further stated that the detailed information containing detailed information regarding the exam, syllabus, eligibility criteria for age, reservation, etc., will be released on ntaneet.nic.in when the online application begins.

However, the date regarding the information above and the schedule has not been released. All interested candidates appearing for the examination are advised to keep a check on the official websites nta.ac.in and ntaneet.nic.in.

As per the New Indian Express report, the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW) has agreed to hold the medical entrance test two times in a year.

Here's How to Apply for Exam

Candidates can fill the NEET application form 2021 online. NTA is expected to announce NEET 2021 registration dates soon at ntaneet.nic.in. Once application forms are released, candidates can go to the official website, ntaneet.nic.in

1) Firstly you have to click on the link for registration

2) Then submit required details to generate login credentials

3) Then you have to log in and fill the NEET 2021 application form

4) Lastly, pay the application fee and submit the form.

The examination will help in determining admission of students in 83,075 MBBS, 26,949 BDS, 52,720 AYUSH, 525 BVSc and AH seats.  

What's the marking system?

According to updates, the NEET will be held offline for a total of 720 marks. In the paper, Physics and Chemistry sections carry 180 marks each and 360 marks are allotted to the Biology section. The total duration of the examination is 180 minutes.

How many attempts available?

It is to be noted that the National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced not allowing multiple attempts to students appearing for NEET 2021 exam. Hence, students will get any additional attempt this year if they fail to clear NEET 2021 exam in one go. However, NEET aspirants have been demanding an extra attempt this year owing to coronavirus pandemic which has impacted their studies.
