Prime Minister Modi interacted with teachers today, September 4, 2023, at his residence at 7, Lok Kalyan Marg. PM Modi was interacting with the 75 teachers shortlisted for the National Teachers’ Award 2023. Notably, the honourable President of India Droupadi Murmu will be distributing the National Teachers’ Award 2023 to the 75 selected teachers tomorrow, September 5, 2023, at the Vigyan Bhawan in New Delhi.


The interaction comes a day ahead of Teachers’ day, which will be celebrated across the country tomorrow, September 5, the birth anniversary of the second president of India, Dr Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan. During the long interaction, the Prime Minister had several exchanges with teachers where the PM also encouraged and praised the teachers, while the latter also hailed PM Modi’s vision and leadership.

During the interaction, a teacher told PM Modi: "When I look at you, I see you working for this great country with such ease. Still, you have that aura and smile on your face. We feel that the students of our class should look at us as we are looking at you." In response, the Prime minister said that “My aura is the reflection of the aura of 140 crore people." 



On being asked by one of the teachers’ upon the new and changing role of teachers in achieving the goal of Amrit Kaal, PM Modi said that, “You should never let the student inside you die. If the student inside you is alive, you will always be free from problems and disappointments. Children should always be encouraged and the curiosity inside them shall never be discouraged.”
