A 28-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a paper leak of an online examination for the recruitment of revenue officials in Maharashtra's Nashik city, police said on Friday. Ganesh Shamsing Gusing, the accused, was taken into custody by the police when they discovered him acting suspiciously near the examination center in the Panchavati region of the city on Thursday, PTI quoted an official as saying.


The police confiscated two mobile phones containing photographs of the question paper. It was revealed that he had been assisting exam candidates by utilizing these images during the examination, he said.


They also seized a walkie-talkie set, a SIM card, headphones and a tablet from the accused, he said.


On interrogation, the man confessed that he was helping candidates by providing them answers during the examination, the official said, adding that a case has been registered with Mhasrul police station. 


Rajasthan Government Forms Committee to Tackle Kota Student Suicides


In response to the concerning issue of student suicides in Kota, Chief Minister of Rajasthan Ashok Gehlot has instructed officials to establish a committee aimed at addressing this critical matter. The committee's primary objective is to propose effective measures for the prevention of student suicides. A comprehensive report detailing the committee's recommendations is expected to be submitted within a span of 15 days.

During a review meeting that focused on the distressing instances of suicides among students aspiring for IIT and NEET exams within the coaching hub of Kota, the Chief Minister voiced his deep apprehension regarding the escalating number of such tragic incidents. This year alone, approximately 20 students, who were in preparation for JEE Advanced and NEET exams in Kota, have tragically ended their lives by suicide.
