The State Common Entrance Test (CET) Cell has started the Maharashtra NEET PG round 3 counseling today. The revised schedule comes after the official announcement was made yesterday on the website cetcell.net.in/NEET-PGM-2023/login. The decision to modify the schedule was prompted by the delay in the NEET PG round 3 results by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC). Subsequently, the Union health ministry granted approval for reducing the NEET PG cut-off score to zero for all categories. In response, the state counseling committee has released the NEET PG and NEET MDS cut-off scores for 2023.

Given the constrained timeframe for conducting the counseling process, the Cell has made a request to all participating institutes and colleges to consider all Saturdays, Sundays, and Gazetted Holidays as working days. The deadline for applying to Maharashtra NEET PG round 3 is October 2, with applications accepted until 6 PM on that day.

Maharashtra NEET PG Round 3 Important Guidelines

The State Cell has issued important guidelines for candidates intending to participate in Maharashtra CAP-3 counseling:

  1. Choice Filling Process: Candidates must complete the choice filling process afresh, as any preferences entered in round 1 and 2 will be considered null and void. Choice filling is set to commence on October 4.

  2. AIQ Round 3 Exclusion: Candidates who have already participated in the All India Quota (AIQ) round 3 counseling are not eligible for the state counseling CAP round 3.

  3. Data Sharing with MCC: Information regarding candidates who have joined CAP Round 3 will be shared with the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) for further processing. Such candidates will not be eligible for any subsequent round(s) of counseling.

  4. Status Retention Form: Once the status retention form is filled, it cannot be withdrawn, so candidates should proceed with caution when making this selection.

  5. Payment via Cheque: For the convenience of candidates, Maharashtra NEET PG counseling fee payments through cheques are allowed on Sundays and bank holidays. However, it is mandatory to replace these cheques with Demand Drafts (DDs) on the following working day.
