The Law School Admission Council (LSAC) has started the registration cum application process for the LSAT (Law School Admission Test) January 2024. Interested and eligible candidates who wish to appear for the LSAT January 2024 Exam can submit their applications for the exam online on the official website - lastindia.in. The last date to apply for the LSAT 2024 Exam is January 10, 2024. The Law School Admission Test (LSAT) —India, designed by the Law School Admission Council (LSAC) and delivered by Pearson VUE, will be offered twice in 2024 – once in January and again in May. The January test will be delivered in multiple slots.
As per the official schedule, the LSAT January 2024 Exam will be held on January 20, 2024. The exam paper shall consist of a total 92 questions, and candidates will be given a maximum time limit of 2 hours and 20 minutes to answer all the questions. Notably, the LSAT 2024 Exam is into its 15th edition, and the exam will be held in the online remote proctored mode, right from their home, using their own laptop/ desktop.
In order to access the test from home, candidates must meet all the necessary system and environment requirements before taking the test. Conducted by the LSAC, the LSAT exam consists of questions on Analytical Reasoning, Logical Reasoning, and Reading Comprehension, aimed at assessing the skills of law aspirants on the basis of advanced reading skills, critical thinking, and informal and deductive reasoning skills. At present, multiple law schools use LSAT scores for admissions into their undergraduate and postgraduate law programmes.
Expressing satisfaction with LSAT- India, Professor Anand Prakash Mishra, Associate Dean of Jindal Global Law School (JGLS) and Director of Law Admissions at OP Jindal Global University (JGU) said, “Since the first year of our law school in 2009, we have admitted students exclusively on the basis of the LSAT—India. In 2024, LSAT—India will be mandatory for admission to both the 3-year LLB and 5-year Integrated law degrees, including the B.Com - LLB, BBA - LLB, and B.A - LLB Hons programmes. We will not accept CLAT or any other test score.”
