New Delhi: Kerala University has rescheduled the dates for the postgraduate entrance exam. These exams, which were to be held from July 15, will now be held on August 1st. The university will conduct the entrance test in offline mode at multiple exam centers allotted in three cities – Trivandrum, Ernakulam, and Kozhikode. The application window for admission to PG courses at Kerala University was closed on June 30. A statement on the official website said, "The date of PG CSS Entrance Exam has been rescheduled. Now the exam will start from 01/08/2021."
 
PG entrance exam pattern
The Kerala University PG Entrance Exam will be conducted for a total duration of two hours. The offline entrance test will consist of questions of both multiple-choice based and descriptive types. Whereas MCQ will be of one mark each and will have 60 questions. The descriptive-type questions will be for 40 marks. Applicants have to attempt eight questions out of a total of 12 descriptive questions. Each descriptive question in the Kerala University Entrance Test will be of five marks.

University conducts entrance exams for some courses.
Post Graduate (PG) admission in the university is done through the entrance exam and academic performance in the last qualifying examination. For some programs, the university conducts entrance examinations, while for some other examinations and admission to affiliated colleges it is done through merit. It is worth mentioning that the university has its own merit calculation criteria through which it releases the rank list for the programs of postgraduate affiliated colleges.
