The LBS Centre for Science and Technology, Thiruvananthapuram, has extended the registration deadline for the Kerala SET (State Eligibility Test) January 2024. Interested and eligible candidates will now be able to apply for Kerala January 2024 till November 5, 2023. The online registration forms are to be filled and submitted online on the official website - lbsedp.lbscentre.in/setjan24. Furthermore, registered candidates will also be able to pay their Kerala SET 2024 application fee till November 7, 2023. Interested candidates may note that the Kerala SET 2024 Application Fee for General and OBC categories is Rs 1,000, and Rs 500 SC, ST, and PwD candidates. 


Following the closure of the Kerala SET January 2024, registered candidates will also be able to edit their applications from November 8 to November 10, 2023. The release of admit cards and the exam date for the Kerala SET 2024, as per the revised schedule shall be notified shortly on the official website. As per the previous schedule though, the last date to register for the Kerala SET January 2024 was today, October 25, 2023.

Kerala SET January Exam Pattern


The Kerala SET January 2024 examination will consist of two papers. The Paper-1 of the exam shall consist of two parts where Part A will contain questions from General Knowledge, while Part B shall consist of questions from Aptitude in Teaching. The second paper, Paper-2 shall assess the candidate's subject specialization at the Post Graduate (PG) level. 


Each paper will have a duration of 120 minutes. It's important to note that there will be no negative marking for incorrect answers in the examination, which provides candidates with the opportunity to attempt questions without the fear of penalties for wrong responses.
