SHS Bihar CHO Recruitment 2024: The State Health Society (SHS) Bihar has cancelled the recruitment of 4500 community health officers posts. A notification has been issued by the Bihar State Health Committee in this regard. The recruitment was announced a few days ago in which there were no positions available for the general category. This sparked political controversy. Amidst the ongoing dispute, the Bihar State Health Society has now announced that this recruitment has been cancelled. The notification states, "Advertisement number 03/2024 [PR. No. 019305 (B&C) 2023-24] published against 4500 vacant positions of Community Health Officer (CHO) is cancelled due to unavoidable reasons."

For this recruitment drive, applications could be submitted by April 30. The recruitment advertisement included 1345 vacancies for EBC, 331 for EBC women, 702 for BC, 259 for BC women, 1279 for SC, 230 for SC women, 95 for ST, 36 for ST women, 145 for EWS and 78 for EWS women.

The application fee for the UR, EWS, BC and EBC was Rs 500 for males and Rs 250 for females. For SC and ST male candidates, it was 250 only.
