Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday, February 12, distributed recruitment letters to over one lakh new joinees in various departments of central and state governments. PM Modi handed over the appointment letters through video conferencing today at 10:30 am. During the event, the prime minister also laid the foundation stone for the Phase I of the Integrated Complex “Karmayogi Bhavan” at New Delhi. The complex is aimed at promoting collaborative cooperation amongst various pillars under the ‘Mission Karmyogi.’
The rozgar mela event was organised at 47 different locations across the country where PM Modi virtually addressed the event. To support the initiative, several departments of central, state, and UT governments participated in the event. The newly recruited joinees will be joining the across several state and central government departments and ministries like the Department of Revenue, Ministry of Home Affairs, Department of Higher Education, Department of Atomic Energy, Ministry of Defence, Department of Financial Services, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Ministry of Tribal Affairs and the Ministry of Railways.
As an initiative, the rozgar mela underlines the commitment of PM Modi towards according utmost priority to employment generation in the country to empower youth across the country. Besides employment generation and empowerment of youth, the rozgar mela is also expected to leverage direct participation opportunities of the youth in Nation Development.
The newly inducted staff of several state and central government departments will also get an opportunity to train themselves through the ‘Karmayogi Prarambh’ model. Available online on the iGOT Karmayogi portal, the model boasts of over 880 e-learning courses that can be accessible from anywhere, at any time, and from any device, furthering the learning process.
