Bihar Home Guard Recruitment 2025: There is good news for the jobhunters. The Bihar government has announced the recruitment of 15,000 Homeguard posts in the state, the recruitment process for which began on Thursday, March 27. Under this recruitment drive, Class-12-pass candidates will be eligible to apply. The application process will run till April 16, 2025.

Applications for this recruitment drive started on March 27 on the official website of Bihar Home Guard Corps onlinebhg.bihar.gov.in. This recruitment of Bihar has been taken out by Bihar Home Guard Corps for 37 districts of the state.

Bihar Home Guard Eligibility: Eligibility

To apply for Home Guard Recruitment, candidates must have passed the Intermediate (Class 12) or equivalent examination from a recognised board by January 1, 2025.

  • Age limit: The age of male, female, and third gender candidates of all categories should be between 19 and 40 years. There will be no relaxation in the age limit.
  • Height: Male candidates of all categories (except Purnea and Kosi districts) should have a minimum height of 5 feet 4 inches i.e. (162.56 cm). The height of male candidates of Purnia and Kosi divisional districts should be 5 feet 2 inches i.e. 157.5 cm. At the same time, the minimum height for female candidates of all categories has been fixed at 153 cm.
  • Application fee: The Application fee for non-reserved/economically weaker/backward class/extremely backward class candidates is Rs 200, whereas for SC/ST/women the fee is Rs 100.
  • Selection Process: Selection of candidates for Home Guard will be done directly on the basis of physical test without any exam. The Physical fitness/efficiency test will be conducted at the district level, which will be of 15 marks.

Candidates who fulfil the criteria of PET/PST, Document Verification and Medical Test will be finally selected. The most important process in this recruitment is the physical, which will include stages like running, long jump, high jump and shot put. Bihar Home Guard Recruitment 2025: Required Documents

The candidate will need the following documents while applying:

  • Photo ID Card: Aadhaar Card, Voter ID card, etc.
  • Contact details: Mobile number and email ID will be required.
  • Educational Certificate: Candidate’s matriculation (Class 10) and intermediate (Class 12) passing certificate.
  • Caste Certificate: Caste certificate for reserved category candidates will be needed.
  • Economically Weaker Section (EWS) Certificate: You will need EWS, if applicable.
  • Residential certificate: Proof of being a permanent resident of Bihar is mandatory.
  • Photograph and signature: Passport-sized photograph and digital signature of the candidate.
